Repair & Perfect Your Teeth!
Your smile speaks before you do. Likewise, how you feel about your smile impacts your confidence. Veneers are thin covers that adhere to your teeth to change your teeth’s appearance. They are custom, tooth-colored shells that fit over the front of the teeth. A dental veneer is a permanent and popular choice to repair stained, chipped or misshaped teeth, and to correct for gaps between the teeth. In addition, if you want to improve your smile, veneers are a simple solution; they look just like natural teeth!
There are different types of Veneers. Porcelain, Composite, Ceramic and Lumineers are the most common. At Kiessling Family Dental, we are trained to help you find the right veneer to meet your needs.
What to Expect
Our highly trained team will meet with you to thoroughly plan the course of action that meets your needs. This is accomplished during our initial consultation visit where we talk about objectives and ends results.
Next, we will schedule the first stage of preparing for your new veneers. This visit will be more in depth. The dental team will prepare your teeth for placement by lightly buffing the teeth so the veneer can be adhered. Very little of the tooth will need to be altered due to the thinness of the veneer.
Once your teeth are prepared, the team takes impressions or “molds”. The impressions are sent to the lab where your custom-made veneers are created. During this time, your teeth will be fully functional and look pleasant.
Lastly, at the follow up visit, your dentist will ensure your veneers are a match in both color and fit. Once your match is perfect, the veneers are bonded to your teeth using a special curing light.
Although it can take a day or two to get used to your new veneers, veneers are so thin that eating, biting and speaking are rarely affected by their placement. The biggest difference you will notice will be looking in the mirror at your gorgeous smile. If you have healthy teeth and gums but want a polished, confident smile, let’s talk about your options.
