Dr. Kiessling is a native of South Williamsport, PA and moved to Hummelstown as a teenager. He graduated from Lower Dauphin High School and received his Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Lycoming College. He received his Doctorate in Dental Medicine from Temple University School of Dentistry. Following graduation from Temple he completed one year of residency in general dentistry at Abington Memorial Hospital. Dr. Kiessling is a member of Harrisburg Area Dental Society, 5th District Dental Society, Pennsylvania Dental Association, and the American Dental Association. He is a Past President of the Harrisburg Area Dental Society and the 5th District Dental Society. He has been honored to receive the 2011 Cornelius Award presented by Arms Around Communities. He is also a 2012 recipient of the Pennsylvania Dental Association’s Public Service Award. He is heavily involved in volunteer work by providing free dental care to the underserved population through Health Ministries of Christ Lutheran Church Harrisburg.

In his private practice Harrisburg dentist, Dr. Kiessling is committed to developing a long term professional relationship with his patients, one that emphasizes patient comfort and convenience and the highest quality and most up to date dental treatment options. He and his staff have the goal of presenting a plan to patients that allows the patient, working with the professional staff, to maintain or restore the mouth to an optimal state of comfort, function and appearance.

In November, 2015, Dr. Kiessling was recognized by the International College of Dentists. This organization, by thorough peer review process, honors outstanding dentists who have demonstrated an abiding interest and concern for their profession by their devotion and high ethical behavior. This is a significant event in Dr. Kiessling’s career as it brings honor to his dental profession and will allow him to add the title F.I.C.D. (Fellow International College of Dentists) as a permanent part of his credentials.

On the personal side, Dr. Kiessling is married to wife Jill with three children, Jake, Greta and Emma. His hobbies are fishing, guitar playing and maintaining a small sheep farm.
